April Fool!

But wait, that avatar's not an alien—it's a penguin!

Yeah, I doubt I fooled anyone but this is an homage to amberMechanic's great Giant Robot pieces: Giant Robot Drama and Giant Robot Finale. They were made for a weekly competition where you had to only use silhouettes but, as rogue_frog said on the latter piece, they were also very much in her style. I am also referencing Partisans with the foreground character's clothing.

I don't think my piece is as harmonious as amberMechanic's work, but I tried. Also, mech design is hard. This is a bit of a Frankenstein's monster mish-mash of parts from amberMechanic's designs, without the wit or character!

Since I didn't ever enter the original competition the Giant Robot pieces were part of, I also wanted to see if I could convey texture with the silhouettes. Hopefully the woolen scarf, rocks and hair have a bit of volume.
