Yes I just really started as of November 10,2006. I would like to one day make a video game in the likes of Metal Slug. But with ninjas. If you or anyone else can point me in the right direction as of video game design software and were to find correct aspect ratios for screen size and characters please do. Thank you.  : )

I like your sense of colour! Some imperfections along the lines, but nothing too serious.

as far as I understood, you began doing pixelart recently? I think you'll be getting better very quick
