Maybe he just realized that he is not as fresh any more as he used to be. I do like your style a lot. Maybe if he would have a darker bruise somewhere, to suggest a rotten part?
Oh you haven't seen how rotten cherries can get. they look like santa claus... let me explain. it starts off with a bruse that is tan colored and wrinkly. they some white mold grows around it and completes the look with a beard and a furry rim to his red hat and a pom-pom. now picture a whole gallon bag full of those and me sorting through all of it... that is the Christmas spirit!
