Since this was intended to be a 'construction' image on your webby, I thought it was as good it could be. The reason I commented on the black outlining was because when left intact, pixels merely look colored as opposed to created which soft outlining creates. It's not a rule or anything, just a comment. Blending the lineart makes for a more pro looking pixel, was all. Good job!
Thank you for the comment/critique. I think you're right. I redone almost the entire thing. How about now.... No "dancing noodles", right now, I am not sure realy how a vapor steam should look like animated...
The surface of the water seems rather placid and boring. I'd think there to be some shading on the bowl visible from this angle. The green tea looks to be a little bit too green, maybe make it a bit paler? The wisps of steam don't look all that steamy or wispy. They look like dancing noodles, actually [maybe they are, who knows :p]. The bottom of the cup doesn't look quite round enough (though this may be hard to rectify without anti-aliasing to a background). One last thing is that the teacup looks less like teacup than a rice bowl - so I'd advise that you round it out a bit more.
