As the title says, this is my very first pixel portrait, and well... after having spend many hours in it, the pixel was done. I added a Background, but there is also a version without the Bg.
The photo that i used for the portrait can be found Here.

I agree the dithering gives it a 3d rendering effect.
I think that's a good idea, you can start with smaller things, to acomplish a big portrait is rather difficult. In the WIP forum you can polish your skills step by step
I tried the hair in various ways, but it didnt completely work out as i wanted it, and this was teh best result for the hair at the moment. Maybe ill someday update it, but certainly not now (I think I wont try Pixel portraits either... its rather difficult and i can train this by making other work )
well you go from heavily pixeled to no shading on the chest and clothes that could be fixed in your "style" You never have to change your style, but you NEED to listen to the suggestions and LEARN to apply them in your "style"
I know there were many suggestions to make it better. But, some of the things are a difference in style. I had a lot of tips, but if the most of them are about a change in style, I wont use them to make my pixel look better. So, I apreciate all the tips and comment that people gave me, but this is the state I will probably keep it in. I dont find a front to improve in right now, cause i tried and it didnt become much better.
You should finish shading her clothes, and reattempt the hair at least. Many suggestions were offered but were ignored. It is nice but there were many suggestions to make it better
