Yeah the black outline makes this look like a simple recolour (because of the black ends of its hair for example) Either remove some black, or remove the complete outline, thats up to you.

mfz is a bit n00by. dont expect to learn anything there. if anything, staying there will just make you worse at pixelart. its a fun place to hang, but i suggest going here or pixelation if want to improve.

try to get rid of the black outline. other thatn that its good.
