Since about 10 years I use ProMotion for pixelart. I think I have version 5.something.
Pretty close to original DPaint I stareted with .. 19 years ago ?! :)

Lawrence: U got me there with the explosion-lighting thing. ;) Its true that this caliber explosion would in fact light the whole scene like thunder flash.
I had draft version with that - it looked like shit - I dumped it and made my life easier in the process ;) = Im just not good enough to make it right (in time) :)

This is pretty nice, I like the jagged style of those leaves on the grass. I would've thought the explosion would've lighted up the surrounding environment though. Great piece :)
