Artists always seem to never be happy with their work. That shouldn't happen too much! Anyway, I love the color scheme that you used and it looks like it has a lot of personality.

These things on a back of his head - it would be fun to play with in animation.=) And they are really needed (by feeling=) to relate that "9" to"6" in composition of "96".

Jeez Fool, this looks wonderful. I also agree with Miascough's confusion over the large love for dragons, and what not. But if I had to choose out of all the dragons listed on this website, I would choose this one. I really don't care much for it's head, to be honest, mainly because I can't stop staring at the amazing detail given to the texture of the wings, and how dynamic the and realistic the tail looks. Although the tendrils coming from the back of its head seem like they don't really fit in with it's design(matter of taste, I suppose) I'd say this is done. And near pixel perfect. Great job!

Miascugh, a friend of mine, he is conventional artist, told me once that for a study old woman nude model much more interesting to draw in terms of shapes, colors and textures than young models. [url=http://www.foolstown.com/mast/klm6.jpg]Example[/url]
It's  just not pleasant to look at for those who do not understand those things. I guess dragons serve same purpuse.=) Only this time there scareness or weird look is a plus. Thanks=)

Bid Brother, I think that's a big  part of it.=) Another thing  - someone (Jalonso?=) listed things that makes pixelartist compete - make a questionable color reduced piece, make a dragon and i already don't remember what..So I took my breath and got over with it.=)) Perhaps, that's all joke (hope it's obvious=D)

I think dragons are popular because of texture and design possibilities. Also, no one can tell you the anatomy's wrong. :)

I think your palettes are some of the most interesting things, fool. Don't get me wrong, the end result is beatiful, but the palettes really kick it in.

I never understood what makes dragons so interesting to most of the people here, and I also never found St0ven's dragons to be so deserving of the all the praise they get, but this here is just a wonderful piece and display of technical skill. I really like it, the minor flaws here and there are hardly enough to derogate the thing as a whole.

The texture on the wings is where its at...

I love the pixel technique used here with the shading and the use of colors but the shape of the dragon bothers me..  The promblem appears to be the legs.. I think they are placed to close to the arms too far up on the body. And the scaly stuff on the back of his neck looks flat and unfinished.. maybe adding a darker shade for shadows there.. even though I know you wont fix it I just wanted to drop a comment :D

can you say tasty ? this is very impressive work the wing is indeed great but feels slightly of style (it appears to be less contrasty/softer when compared to the rest of the piece)

Can't say I'm much for dragons, but the pixelwork on this one is top notch! I especially like the smooth texturing on its wing.
