graphics made for a canned GBA project. Was a castlevania-esque game... under GBA-color restrictions; meaning 16 16-color pallets for the background-tiles and 16 colors per sprite.

If anything, I'd say the background layers (shrubs, rocks, etc.) needs to be emphasized less, perhaps by making them a bit darker or lowering the saturation. I think it would help disinguish the foreground sprites.
