The black pixels surrounding the top of the mountains are making it look flat, maybe use a lighter color of grey to blend it more with the bg.

I third that idea. But I think overall this is okay. But why is this in the c ategory of "Robots"

i agree with haash, and maybe you should also try to make it look more like an atmosphere... like adding more greyish and faded mountains behind the mountains you already have...

But anyways looks very good!
