I call this a Clawbarg, a tiny insect specie that works in huge colonies. Their large, sharp claws allow them to dig through nearly any material, whether it be very hard rock or animal flesh. Their sharp drill-like heads aid in their burrowing, and can slightly open to serve as a mouth.
