I couldn't tell from the screenshot what's so great about it, but now I know!
Great 'story' and great animation. Only the bit when the big tank is rolling is not so obvious.

@ murd3rkitty: I use photoshop elements for all my pixel art/animations. It's animation features are very limited though, basically I just screenshot all the layers and save those to a gif. @ everyone else: Thnx!

Looks straight out of Metal Slug, there's no doubt about it, and the 'Micro Machines' inspiration made me smile with nostalgia. 5/5, fav'ed. Just out of curiousity, what program(s) do you use for your drawing/animating? Great job!

awesome animation! only 2 critics for you: the end of the 1st bullet explosion is wierd, and when the bigger tank rotates the cannon is a bit wierd too (EDIT but i think its right anyway)

this is really really cute, further more the texture and shading of the tanks is really good. Also the animation of the smoke is fairly wicked!!
