Well, I'm not sure to be honest. His other works are also excellent, but those mock ups are original. So why would he lie on this?

I don't think your works are pixel at all. Theres too many loose ended bits and pieces coming off the edges and wierd nonsensical brush strokes everywhere. I think you've done some good work in photoshop, then just reduced colours to 32 to try and pass it off as pixelart.
