this sort of reminds me of a Ripley's Sign, I love it

it's old latin.  i got the characters from my roman mythology book i got from college, and the pattern is from a photo of a pillar from rome i took when i was there on shore leave, so it is roman :P

Nice one! Great use of humour and good clean design. You also chose appropriate colours. It's amazing how the type looks pink but the border looks orange when in fact they're both red.
