What do you mean by add your own pixels?

Yes, it was traced. All of my work is traced. :(:(:( I'll put that into all of my descriptions. I am not very artistic... However, the image you posted was not the one I used. Mine was much higher resolution, 1600x1200. Same picture though. :P

I took that picture into photoshop, reduced it to 100x100 and then to 3 colors with indexing, with a little tweaking of the diffusion percentage slider, i got it to match this piece.

Not pixel for pixel, but damn similar. Hopefully Gen will come and tell us it was at most traced. Such a shame, it's lookin' good.

Kinda looks like it was traced.
But it's possible it could have been used as a referance.
