Haha!   It could totally be a Swingline Stapler.  I love office space!!

Bill Lumbergh: Milt, we're gonna need to go ahead and move you downstairs into storage B. We have some new people coming in, and we need all the space we can get. So if you could just go ahead and pack up your stuff and move it down there, that would be terrific, OK?

id say you should have made some lines a bit smoother, but it looks blick-y to me

Black only appears around the top of the stapler and around the bottom to show some depth.  The inner outlines are maroon, but I guess I could lighten them a bit. 

About the dithering, I did notice that he uses it for shading.  I just kind of winged it because Blick's objects (crayon and battery) are cylindrical and the stapler is not.   So i wasn't sure how to exactly mimic his dithering style on the flat surface.  I'm still a n00b.    

I think Blick would not left inner outline black. He would either remove it or put highlights there. Also he is using dithering not for texturing but for shading.

Design of the stapler is nice, it's easy to believe Blick made a character out of it. Good job.

Haha, funny you mention that.  When I drew it I knew it was rather facelike.  But if you look at any stapler, that's what the pad looks like.  The sheen is probably what reminds you of Autobots.  And hey, it's a living stapler - it's like one of the lost Autobots.

And what is with the Autobots logo on the pad?
