This is based on a photo I took, but more idealized. It's also an attempt to try making backgrounds instead of just tile work.

Very nice, the horison looks too tiled and i dislike that part as it seems to be a huge misfit for the rest of the image...

Heheh, yeah, sometimes I did copy and paste. You are correct on your points, I would go back in and work on it again but right now I want to focus on making new backgrounds.

If the sun was that low, I would expect things to be a little more yellow in color. The texturization on the water is neat, but I think certain areas look too messy. Also, theres alot of copy & paste for someone who was trying to get away from tiling :p

water, tree and skies are beautyfull! I don`t like the horizon so mutch but that doesn`t matter ;)
