Very strong vivid design. Technically, I think the symmetry takes away from it a little, but it sure speeds up production. I do like the way you placed your dithering and texture pixels, I think it's great pixeling. I'd love to see a series of animal heads like this one from you, I'd have to save it and print it off at 8x zoom for reference.
It blurs when zooming in. Why is it that some indexed *.PNG's do that? Is it IE7?

I was a bit concerned with the symmetry myself, but the design was for a tattoo texture I was making for IMVU, so I felt it worked for the piece...I don't know if I'll be doing more critters in this style yet or not...It's certainly outside my comfort zone and I do like that though...
Some of the blurring is becase of my color choices...Made it tricky while I was plugging away in the GIMP...
