Watch out, panda's take over your dreams!

I was going to say it's rather pale; if you depict a dream state that seems fine though. Consider adding a background (even just a flat color) so that it looks decent with non-default Pixel Joint themes (eg. I use "amstrad cpc", and that gives a medium blue as the normal background color, rather than PJ's default light pale sky blue)

The girl and the pandas are a part of the boy's dream. The girl's arm, hair, and part of the bamboo are trasparent when it overlaps the clothes and the panda plushie because I tried to represent a "dream" feeling.

Indeed Jalonso. but why I don't like dolls, it almost personal. I won't as dumb as deny the abilities of some dollers in technical issues such as dithering, shadowing, etc.
and that great, wonderful also. even we, at PJ, have made some dolling  in someway(but we call it lil' dudes n_-) but i just don't like them... maybe is the masive appearance of websites where you can make dolls in one click, or maybe they are just too superficial to me, or artificial, or something like that... whatever... I don't like dolls, like i don't like fish or dance simulators. But that is just my own and personal opinion. wheee xD

 as a side note Jalonso,  indeed Figther sprites could be considered as dolls... like boys and girls arguing if action figures (G.I. JOE's, MaxSteel, etc xD)are dolls or not... lol'

As the doll thing, I guess as long as effort is put to the dolls, and technical improvement is pursued, there is nothing wrong. The bad thing is when dollers get stuck in the same things.

Jalonso: Just fyi....not all dollers are women and I've seen guys freak out just as badly as other girls.

Seems like a collage of styles and techniques. I don't get it...and I did try.

@Metaru, This doesn't seen like a doll to me. Dolls are absolutely allowed here and some are even very good. Looks like this month a 'doll' will win top prize by your standards  (check out wayuki's gallery, its all dolls and all get respect). We are about the 'pixelart' above all. The reason 'dollers' don't get very involved here or stay for long is because where we c+c on the pixel level and focus on the technical aspects of things with visuals second. The doller community share pixels (bases) and seem to focus way more on how 'cute' an outfit is or whatever 'theme' they were going for that day rather than lighting, dithering, A, etc. This only leads to them freakin' out...women. It doesn't help that we (me included) all pounce on dolls and dollers. One last thought, fighter sprites are one form of 'doll'...scary huh?

are dolls allowed on pixeljoint? btw, besides that... is great, inspires me to go and draw with my pemcils like in the old days...
