Actually, I think the dithering kinda works for the head and the two midgreen colors in the pants. It's the highlights and their contrast that make it seem...over-detailed(?) in the chest area and boot area. I like it...

I agree with jalonso, you should make his lower legs longer etc. also, a shadow would be nice
