I wanted to give this a try but didn't know which kind of forest I wanted to do. I found a lovely pic of a Norwegian forest and loved the trunk colors. I didnt think I would get it all done in time, so I got most of it done.

No, I picked a few colors out from the pic to get the same feel and altered some in luminosity so I could try to get 16 colors. I made a grid on the original picture so I could get the right proportions of where the trees are in relation to each other on my small piece. Sorry if that is so wrong - it was something I learned in art class long long ago when trying to draw a picture from a reference picture - you drawn based off of what you see in that particular square, then do the next and so on. I wanted it to look like the pic. I didn't trace it. I make everything in mspaint - only animate things in imageready
Don't get me wrong, but you picture is TOO CLOSE to the photograph! I put them one over the other and every single trunk and highlight are in the exact same place. I don't approve of this kind of thing, and you don't fuckin need it since you have skill.
