You don't really like to receive crits do you? That is the whole point for Pixel Joint. Don't expect your work to just get applause 100% of the time. People don't post on your image throwing tomatoes at you, they are just trying to help. He sort of does have a hunch back, it doesn't matter if the walk frames look fine with it...Christopher was just pointing out the fact that your main character looks a little weak in the spine.
The sprite looks okay, I don't really like the pillow shading, it takes away from the quality this guy could have. There are also a lot of colors for a game sprite. The fewer colors you use, the less problems you will have during production redoing things on the sprite, adding new armors, weapons, maybe adding a new animation frame when you run into a situation and need to put one in. Good luck, I hope this works out for ya, the sprite design is cool though.
Agreed. It doesn't matter which clothes the character wears. I have learned to listen to others when they criticize my work but after all I must like the look of it, not any other persons, because spriting is my hobby and not a job.
looks like something from the movie "steamboy. anyway, who cares if he has goggles? he's sprited well, isn't it all that matters? also, goggles are typical for steampunk
Skies of Arcadia is some kind of steampunk game, yeah, but I've never played it^^ The stance might look weird, but i tested the animations with the character template I made for my game and when he walks it doesn't look like a zombie^^

Sounds like something out of Skies of Arcadia. (Game)
Nice job on the sprite, stance seems weird though kind of zombie like.
