The head movement is sometimes awkward: there should be a frame or two between the frame where his hair covers his face and  when his head falls. Apart from that, nice animation...

This is freakishly amazing. I love it.

For some reason the man reminds me of the prisoners from Blackthorne.

chanfan (Level 1 Thug) at 5/30/2007 1:14:53 PM

The whole idea of someone else controlling his body reminds me of Zappa from Guilty Gear who's controlled by some wierd ínvisible girl (reminds me of the girl in ringu) http://www.artuproar.com/uploads/skins/previews/zappaspriteani.gif

I'd say Scruffs covers most of the issues here. Only thing I want to add is that he doesn't look unconsious, he's to stiff for that. It almost looks as if he's trying to get away. Either that or he has retardation

Scruffs (Level 6 Made) at 5/27/2007 3:45:12 PM

did someone grease him up? =P My main gripe with this piece is his right arm.  It seems tacked on and doesn't flow with the rest of the piece.  The bicep moves slightly but for the most part it just moves straight up and down.  The angle seems incredibly uncomfortable as well.  Another thing, for such a muscular man he has very shallow pectorals.  Also, the markings are odd.  Some go around the appendage, some go half way?  One last thing, the hair doesn't fit the style at all.  It's really simplistic in comparison with the rest of the piece. The animation of the hair should be a circlular motion anchoring on the head, but it doesn't really move at all.  The back leg bends upwards, it should go straight to the ankle.  The pixel tech is a little sloppy but overall it's a solid piece.

Nice work.=) Face slips from a motion arch  and a shoulder on his right a bit bulky, but very impressice work.=) Also, if you won't keep same distance between hands and ball troughout the sequence - just a slight change, let say   ball goes up first, hands follows next frame  when going up, and in reverse when going down etc - it may get stronger feel of floating.=)

That is somewhat, Mental!
Awesome work! Superb animation.

grave (Level 8 Marshal) at 5/27/2007 4:20:16 AM

When it returns to the first frame it becomes much more static and kinda snaps into place. I would try to fix that if i were you.

The rest of it is amazing.

Ensellitis (Level 11 Special Agent) at 5/27/2007 3:19:23 AM
god damn.  another amazing one.  the overall pixeling is good, but the animation is what makes this so great

drZool (Level 6 Serial Killer) at 5/27/2007 3:09:17 AM
You must be absolutely crazy doing this animation! and have lots of free time. Great work on the human. 5/6 the imp is taking away the last rating. The quality on the imp does not match the human. Don't let that take you down, this piece is awesome!

elend (Level 1 Rookie) at 5/27/2007 2:55:26 AM
Great Idea and even better animation.

kvetacek (Level 1 Rookie) at 5/27/2007 1:45:23 AM

CircleOfTheDarkOnes (Level 2 Flatfoot) at 5/26/2007 8:08:41 PM
I was waiting for this one :)
I would love to see some attack animations later, that would be cool.

Kaiseto (Level 4 Button Man) at 5/26/2007 7:59:29 PM
I like it. Especially considering a lot of the entries (Fool's aside) have been mediocre. Very smooth animation. It does seem like the imp is a slightly different style than the man, but I can't honestly give constructive criticism. It's a stylistic thing.

Christopher (Level 5 Killer Klown) at 5/26/2007 6:24:12 PM
The hair really needs improving.

I dont know if i really like the head movement either. But great job on the shading on the body.

cerealkiller54 (Level 6 Yonkyu) at 5/26/2007 5:15:22 PM
Kinda gross looking, but really good!
