Well im making a game for a shop I work at called Spar, It's all pretty much done and as an extra I decided to make this, carried on from an unfinished wip. The concept is basically advertising my game, dotted around the shop are signs like this advertising special offers, basically a clever twist using the Spar styling. http://img398.imageshack.us/img398/7618/advertfq1.png

Wow, im so relieved you pointed that out Presley, Its been sent to a printing place to be printed for tommorrow and I've just had enough time to run down there to fix it lol..

My only reference was a mirror apart from initially using a vector version to compose the basic linework.

Great stuff, just around the bottom of the hair where it touches the neck could use some AA and a little shadowing.

reminds me of matt heafy everytime im looking at it. great work. the border and background is a bit cheap looking but I guess that makes it fit the spar-style very well :D

i saw earlier stages of this, and it was posted on pixelation for a few days. it is a portrait of himself. first he made a vector of himself in an advertisement for 'vans' (the sneekers) and then he *started from scratch* and created this based on his vector.

if anyone else needs proof that its his, ill go dig up the thread on pixelation, and post the link here. he has multiple steps and the vector piece in it.
