I made these for a spriting contest on a french board, which I miserably lost ^^
The story behind them is that Velch (the wizard type guy) was banned from the human world because of his magic powers (and because he was trying to kill his mother just when he was born). As an Haruspex, he can read The Truth inside living creatures and that's how he has learned magic. Thanks to his magic, he transforms the wolves he used to live with into an army of dwarves. He plans raiding far in the land of North where gigantic flying creatures live so he can read the entire Truth about the universe in one of them.
Thanks to Xenodrogen (wolf lines ^^), Titania and Adarias =)

Actually, I quite agree with the voting except for number 4, which should have received no votes. I wouldn't call it robbed though, those first three entries were of very high quality. I'd say you were about tied with the second person. His character designs were better, your composition in the big piece was better. The third guy deserved to end first or second.
If the voting would have been more popular, you would have had a better score. 30 votes or something just isn't enough for a compo
(Bad english translation)> I'm quite surprised by the result! The winner's entry is not amazing, it's only big and the anatomy is quite bad... and the entry just before yours is far below from the quality of your work. There must be a lot of "friends" vote, no? I like the way you did the weapons, and the wizard looks cool ^^
Concerning the character design, I forgot to say it in the details but it's (again) heavily inspired by the game Confrontation where I picked my references.
