I love this peice, but I am not sure about the little rays of light, are they really nesscecary? They are a little distracting, and confusing, at least to me.

lawrence has posted many of his WIPs in the forum.  from mockup to final stage.  i will stake my reputation on his reputation.  i recommend you go check out the forum to see some of those WIPs, and check out his gallery as well.  he is one of those rare members that have the complete understanding on light sources and is one of an even fewer that can actually get away with this much dither.

with the internet, you need to be sure you include a reason, since your typed letter hold no body language or tone we can use to judge what was behind what you were saying.  hell, if i had come in to see that, i too would have thought "why is he trying to call lawrence a ripper?"

I meant no diss to you. Online comments can be interpreted differently by the reader. I can totally see as you explain it being a sensible question to ask. Originally you did not elaborate and I mistakenly read it differently. When a member has earned some respect around here I must always defend them because with all the tricks people try to pull...ya know?
Many a member is under heavy scrutiny as some here have been succesful in showing how a trick can be pulled without most suspecting. Without absolute proof of course nothing can be done about it...fooling, or even trying is always temporary...always. This is proven time and time again. Thankfully, pixelart is a all about patience and precision and many here are willing to use patience to catch the true 'fools'.
That's a warning to all actually.
