I've seen this one be4 and liked it a lot, but I now noticed the ball is the same size in every frame, while the girl is standing further back (compared to the first hit)

The stance where the girl is waiting for the ball is a bit weird and hyper, but the rest shows us again your exelent animating skills!!

Even if it were inspired by an existing piece. Nothing takes away the pwnage of this pixel and if not rewarded this month with a top10 it will be the biggest travesty in PixelJoint that I can remember (cept all MY pixels ).

Yeah I know about the Andy Roddick, but I've had the idea sitting around before he was even on the scene . (And I finally got round to doing it! Whoopeee!!)

I also spent alot of time for the hitting of the ball as I really wanted to show the use of the walls so I'm quite pleased with the results. With the score Pong is losing (is that a bad thing?)

Just thought I'd drop in and mention that this idea is not original.
The Australian Open has an advert every year where Andy Roddick takes on Pong.
It was so popular that it even has a second ad.

Having said that, Stickman has put a new spin on it with the cross-sectioned court.

The animation itself is really good, but the shot where she hits the ball straight into the barrier where the net should be was poorly thought out. Also, the way the score is arranged it looks as though Pong is losing.

@Imagician: It took awhile to create. Probably 2 weeks worth of work on and off cause keeping the volume was annoying and I kept on having to redo bits.

Maybe add something on the preview to say that this is just a preview because it's really less good than the whole piece... and when I saw it, I first tought that it was the same as the big one.

This is such an incredibly cool idea. The colors on the ball, the shading on the ground, and the funk of the animation are all ace.

Excellent animation (great expression, timing). Also the idea is very cool. Preview pic doesn't do justice to the piece but the surprise effect of seeing a big and nice animation behind a small and in itself not very spectacular preview pic is surely adding to the sensation.

It's very awesome. I love how you were able to create so much depth within your animation. That must've taken a lot of patience that I have none of.
