This, and the animations of the little soldier guy, are sprites I've done for an idea for a WWII-era platform/shootemup game I will probably never get round to making. Everything's in black and white because:

a) It's a homage to all those old war films I watched as a kid

b) It's a hell of a lot easier.

This is a Japanese "tankette", a two-man armoured vehicle armed with a machine gun.

Hell ya, metal slug..I like this. The only flaw is the tank wheels, I have never seen a tank with nothing but tiny wheels, and never one with them spaced that far apart. Also the upward and downward angled chain parts don't move, maybe you forgot to animate that part?

Good idea over all though.

This is got some serious style! I love the idea of a black and white theme as well!  It's a really good peice, but I'm not too sure about the wheels.

@Zero - yeah, I'm afraid you're right. You can imagine how much of a pain in the ass they were to do, even badly.
