This looks like a legitimate game, I am still amazed at how great this looks. Awesome job with animation, interface, and overall RPG feel.

you frickin rock! this is ace, also nice tricks used to reduce the amount of sprite frames ie the gliding, which actually has a unique quality over animated running/rushing

Well, it's pretty, and it's good, but I think your animation didn't really need to be that long. I think it would have sufficed to just have one attack sequence from either side really. The sprites are very pretty, but there are only a few of them. That would be no big deal normally, but you're selling this to me as a full battle sequence. I watched this, and when I saw all of the places that you passed up an opportunity to put in another animation, I felt kind of cheated.

That aside, this is very nice, but I think you can do a lot more with it. : )

Just incredible. For some reason as the animation progresses, it slows down horribly and I get tearing near the top, but that's just my crazy computer.

It's so incredibly polished. It could certainly be straight out of a game. I love it.

bonus points for using idraw, you're one of the only people besides me that still does.

first let me say that the pixelwork is beautiful. absolutely beautiful. and the time spent on this is impressive.

there's a real problem though in the timing. everything is instant, there's no delays, its so fluid that its a little uncomfortable. have you ever played Wild Arms? well, it's not that uncomfortable, because they were slow, this is quick, but theres still a bit of an issue.

my suggestion: think of it a little like beats- these are times that i find work very well for a battle situation
imagine for each action, there are 5 beats, with accents on the 1st and 4th.
x - - x - | x - - x - | x - - x - | x - - x - | (not actual musical notation)

RUN run run PAUSE wind SMACK (ow ow) BACK back (repeat until the player has to make another decision)

this works for spells to :
CHANT chant chant FLASH flash BOOM boom boom BOOM boom

just think about it, it might help

OMG, that's just awesome. The cursor is really a great touch, the fonts, the raptors are just menacing enough yet cute. Maybe, maybe the parallex effect on the trees could be slightly more complex. Nah! its perfectly perfect!
