To be honest, I really don't like the type of colors used. It need to be less garish. Maybe make the colors more neutral (by a very small degree even).
A pot of strawberry jam might have exploded. Or maybe an alien broke loose and the only way to escape was heading to the containment room. But.. wouldn't it be more exiting if you just didn't know who or what made the footprints?
