Well, another monster of my game, Havoc Zone. This one quickly flys into the screen, stops, opens up, shoots a lot of bullets at the player, and then quickly accelerates downward to crush the player.

good start. Another tip I'd add is you dont have to do everything at once. For example, wait until the other animations have finished before you extend the metal backside or the mouth
The design looks very nice, but the animation looks cheap and rushed... due to you mostly having copied and pasted the stretching muscle parts. I think if you did some redrawing where necessary, to simulate muscle movement, it would look really awesome. Also, the timing looks a bit odd... doesn't make much sense to have a sudden acceleration leap near the end.
I like the start/end states - that shading's pretty sweet, but the animation seems kind of off... it seems like it ought to move more like muscles expanding/contracting, less like a pop-up book.
Yeah, it rocks. I Maybe it would look even better if some details were not only moving but also rotating. The metal shield for example. Would be great if it was changing angle. Or split on 2 parts and only one of them go beyond (for each side).
yes, the shots are aimend at the player. They are shot out of the smaller orbs. kinda makes for a "bullet carpet". @ AdamPlays: yea, that's how one looks. except that the real ones got a lot more spikes!
