Very good and extremely strange. I like the way that you excluded giving us any description of what's going on as It actually adds to the disturbing atmosphere of this piece
I have no idea what's going on, but looks really nice. Nice metallic feeling all around, and specially on the column. Although i think it works, and since you're going for color conservation, i think it'd be interesting to see colors of the characters applied on the background, for richer color contrast.
