This really is quite a remarkable improvement. I remember being very impressed when I saw this on Pixelation.

4 does look a little cleaner/nicer, but i see that in 5 you strove to simply lower the colour count, so it looks good too for what you were aiming at =). Something that could have used work is the grass though. There were no changes made to it at all.
