Welcome to "Zero Signal". The world where two suns shining in the sky and high-tech constructions are growing like mushrooms after rain. Strange weather phenomenons are covering planet's surface. Strong volcanic activities can be seen from distant places. Clouds of smoke, flashes and explosions of fire and lava - that area of planet is deadly for all creatures. From far distances this happening looks like Burning Sunrise.
WIP steps here or there (if first link don't works) Made for weekly challenge "360 Panorama"
Weekly Challenge: 360º Panorama Top Pixel Art - August 2007 (#1)
I'm finding your WIP steps much more appealing than the final piece. Much, much more. Frames 4 and 5 (mainly 4), i find, are far greater than this. This is too sharp and choppy! with the lack of colours i can understand though. It's also the palette of 4 which i love, i find this one doesn't bring half the depth to the screen. Also that dude's head is soooo small! :/
That said, this is really nice. I love the transition between the right and left skies. Looks like a really interesting world. :)

Yes, Gary Tonge's works inspiring me a lot, I even printed some of his pictures and hung it on the wall of my room =)

Just returned back to home from rest, and seems that my pj messagebox is full of messages;) Big big thanks everybody for feedback and fav's! Seriously, I didn't expected such massive reaction for my picture. I just fond of hires sci-fi environments and landscapes, and I wanted to try doing sci-fi landscape in pixelart technique. So weekly challenge became final push for me to do this. And I think my next pixelarts need to be not worse than this one, it will be hard to achieve=)

Right down to the wide lens perspective distort thing.... this is a painting of a demigod!!
the image is truly great congratulations. althought i feel you could have gone over this one more time because there are several places where aa is missing. great work regardless.
Id say the night sky should be way darker than the sunrise sky.

Amazing work. I see your very discreet use of reflections.
BlingShyne2 (Level 1 Rookie) at 8/10/2007 8:11:13 AM
This is awesome, I'd suggest taking the title off of the picture though, It seems out of place to me, but other thanthat this picture is incredible and a favorite of mine.

Kickass! Great colors and pretty much everything. Only crit is that buildings don't integrate so good with the landscape.

Big thanks to all for comments and fav"s! 2Gas 13: yeah, I see now, it's error. But my Wacom is smoking, and I need to leave computer for some days, so this picture will stay "as is" now=)

Holy Crap...
I really love how you've used the colours in this and how the two parts of the world contrast eachother really well. This almost could've been an entry to the Parallel universe challenge.
Anyway...I'm going to cement my place as the first person to congratulate you on winning this weeks challenge :)...Well done :D
