This piece is made for the 360º Panorama challenge. But as you might have noticed, there is a second horizon on the top of the piece. Look better, and you'll see you're not only looking 360 degrees around you, you also look from one horizon to the other.
At first, I did'nt know what to put in the piece. Later I got the idea to add a few droplets in the piece for the required reflections and keep everything simple. After some measuring I got the view of the 180 degree vertical view right, and I could start making things more detailed, and this is what came up.
indeed, purely techincal PA can look nice and even stuning, but later become boring and uninteresting. on the other hand, original PAs with a concept behind it tend to kept people's interest and rather more atractive. i don't want to sound self-referenced, but its like the difference between my entry (DICEG) and the rest of the entries of the underwater challenge...
now it will be a task for me to create a good idea and use good technics but it's actually the first time (as far as i know) that people say that my technnics and colours are good and the idea is very bad, so having both good should be possible
the achievement of the fçeffect is something that must be pointed, but also, the lack of element on the composition itself makes the image boring... technically is great. but as luca said, i don't like the idea.
well, i wanted to create that but the rules say different things about the canvas, so i was restricted with keeping things horizontal (or making a 120x120 circle as panorama)
and tnx pmprog and luca. Btw Luca, i know the idea is quite lame, but insipration wasn't there (as usually) (I decided just to compete instead of competing cause i had a good idea to show people)
Hmm, then it would have to be on the sides also, all curved..? right now its top to top 180 degrees, there are no sides which would make it 360. If there were no top horizon, it would be.
read the text i typed with it... it has one horizon, but you see it twice (from horizon up to the sky to the other side (behind you normally), the *second* horizon
