Real nice! With the colours

I exactly read out your intentions, I'm new here and don't know why this kind of pixeling is often misunderstood and taken as oekaki. I guess this varnished-looking canvas is mistakenly taken as cross-hatching. Maybe, you should add some reflections to make it look like a real canvas . who knows.

It looks as if the wolf was sneezing with some green snot :) joking. its nice, it has a charm of an old ink illustration.

I think the lighting that hits the wolf is strong enough to illuminate more the entire piece, just a though :)

Nice, but I think the anatomy of the 2bit version was a bit better. Also using a color for two pixels feels like wastage somehow.

For me it's pixel art anyway... : p  It's a dog? Look like a wolf...

Very interesting messy style. Hopefully none of the vigilantes around here are going to make a fuss about it being oekaki or Pure Pixel Art (tm).
