Oh no Soup don't worry, we weren't saying it in a way to suggest you had stolen someone else's style. Sorry to worry ya. I was merely saying that the look which shows a 2dish mouth doesn't really go well with the rest of the look for the character you have made. If that makes sense.

I don't think having no other cheek or arm matches the style atall tbh.. It just looks wrong to me. If you wanted to follow that style, they usually have zero shading and lacking detail, to amplify the flatness of the character. It's a cool style that you could try, but i think this needs to be fixed here.
I like it otherwise.

Quar, I'm pretty sure Soup knows that. Looks more like a stylistic choice, and it pays off in my opinion! I love the style.

At this view, you should be able to see inside his mouth instead of whatever is in back of him I think. Otherwise, good.

You forgot some transparency along the toes.  I like the style and the simplicity, though.  Wouldn't mind seeing more in this vein.
