Well done with the texture, I imagine this dog in a scene for Final Fight or some Beat Em' Up like that.

also, that far back leg should be at least 3 or 4 pixels lower, and the other one 1 pixel higher, because your dog isn't in a 3/4 perspective.

For one thing, the eyes are on different levels yet his head doesn't seem tilted. Also, if this is a golden retriever then his tail should be a tad longer. I would scratch the animation - it's barely visible and doesn't add much. Also, try and mold a better shape for his face. Try these references for help. Hope this helps.
