Take heed, and know well the nature of these unseelie folk. Their very existence is an affront to all that is right in this world. Their every action is dark with taint. These creatures thrive in the minds of the weak, and they spread like a virus throughout. No man is immune to their sick charms; they are a corruption.

I think I kept it white because I picked the colours to show against the white. I didn't test it against anything else, but with no outlines and no aa, I'm assuming they wouldn't read as well against a dark background.

Though perhaps transparency is due, unless the shadows are intended to be displayed upon a white background.

Reminds me of those djinni (sp) from Golden Sun.  Either way, nice work.  Great simplistic look.
