The art is great!The pixel art, not so much. 94 colors is far too many, and even with that many colors a couple areas are left without any anti-aliasing (The right side of his chin, his left cheek, and a few other spots)

Excellent Work.
In fact so good, and so stylised, I had to check to see if you were French (did you move from France?). I do not mind the higher colour count. If you have something to put them to, I say put those colours to work! I would normally say to use the full 128 in your palette, but there is not a pixel there that is not already perfect.

I don't see why this isn't being accepted, it's a wonderful piece in my opinion. It looks abstract-ish to me and the colors go great together and I just love it.

I don't mean to say you did this Photoshop, it was a compliment as to how good it looks. If I put this on a Photoshop forum and said i did it in Photoshop, they'd believe me straight up.Actually, faving it.

it is. atleast according to the definition I was given here on pixeljoint. ("a discipline by which images are created with pixel-level intent or precision.")
I still don't understand why people are so sceptical. I mean, anyone who has some experience in pixel graphics will recognize which technique is used. I would be very astonished if someone could produce this type of dithering without hand-pixeling it.

93 unique colours apparently. Great pic, love that style! Really good technique too, AA and dithering are top-notch.

You're right I could have optimized it. But I'm using 3x32 colour ranges for 3 skin tones + 9 for the grey background (if you look at the palette you'll get the idea). However I'm not using all the palette entries, dunno exactly how many unique colours there are (if you want to check, be my guest)

no need to foul the air with your profanities, souly. i agree that this could have done effectively with less colors, but what i really would like to see is some of those 105 colors being put to use to AA the eyes, and the upper left of his forehead.

Why the fuck would you use 108 colors on one fucking tone...That's just dumb, no offense but that's just overkill.
You could have done the same effectivness with only 24-32 colors.
