Here's a little sprite I made for one of the larger "regular" enemies in our sidescrolling run-n-gun game. It adheres to a global 9-bit palette, much like all my other work, and uses 16 colors. I'm not sure I really like the "jiggle" that occurs on the rear of the jaw during the running cycle, but decided it looked better than no movement at all.

Reminds me of one of the guys from Psygnosis' Obliterator... or maybe it was some other Psysgnosis game - they always had cool alien enemies in their Amiga games.
There, I changed it to transparent. Hope it looks a bit better to you all. I make all my sprite sheets using bright magenta (255,0,255) as the background color, so all I did was change it to something a little less offensive to the eyes (blue) when i initially made the GIF. Sorry if i blinded anyone
