Dunno about the eyes glowing.  He's one of those who has a visor rather than visible eyes.  I did actually think about animation and did a simple lil thing with the sky but after viewing it looping for a while it just seemed odd that he'd stand there like that for such a long time, whereas static it looks more like a 'photo' captured in a moment.   Dunno if that makes any sense at all.

Personally I like it a lot, it brings me back to my days of Transformers. The only thing I would have done was perhaps put a bit more emphasis on the eyes...you know, the cliche'd glowing thing or something. Or perhaps a small animation of the sun reflecting off of the gun or something. Just ideas I wanted to bounce off you, not meant as critique :P
