Reminds me that a remake does not have to be a complete re-imagining. This style seems preferable to some stuff I've seen. Thanks for sharing.

As many people have said, it definitely has that Bitmap Brothers look. The multi-hued dithering gives the environment a gritty, realistic feel. Although I think I prefer your old version of the spike-pit-swinging screenshot, had more variety in the colour scheme. Still, top stuff. :)

It's kind of hard to make out the character sprites in some of the screenshots. It would help if either the background was a little darker or if the sprites had a dark outline or something to help them stand out a little more. Otherwise it's nice.

The orange BG on the 5th screen is a bit agressive but I've tryed to respect original levels and on this original level, sky was pure red, that why I make it orange who looks more like some sky color, but it's right, now I realise that a complete level with this orange can hurts our eyes maybe I could change it to a nice brown.
For the contrast between sprites and BG, I realise it but very late when I've make the sprite on the 11th screen.
Unfortunaly, this remake will not be created because it's hard to find coders that can code 2D platform games or have free time to make it. Anyway, if I find one, I'm quite open to do it.

With this much work put into these alleged mockups, I can't help but suspect there is an actual remake of the game being created. Please let it be so, or I'll just have to go ahead and make one myself: )

I don't like the new ones as much as the originals, I think it's mainly due to higher saturation (especially the fifth one with that orange background, ow!), but they are still great stuff regardless.
