I like this a lot. Especially the tiling. Theres a sorta 'simplicity' of the detailing that works more on suggestion than refinement and it looks good to me...
That make any sense?

M.E: I think I'll be redoing the beam to be sent i pulses. I just put that in here to show that it actually was a beam-generating-thing. ie. something that will need to be destroyed throughout the level.

The sky is a bit strangely done.
The beam is a bit simple.
The clouds are ok.
The rest is really good.
