Yeah, I was trying to add a shadow for the brim of the hat, but it looks pretty icky...

I see that you have shifted the lightsource. Good.
And I liked and still like the mouth. Nicely done.
This is a good example what simple good placement
and color selection can do.
The roundness of the cactus has been comprimised
a little bit. Please check the shadow line at the top
and bottom and compare it with the original to see
what I mean.

You have a lightsource issue (Look at the legs and the rest)
Realy like the mouth, both inside and outside.
