Yeah I'm going to rework this thing once I finish my pixelween entry.

Also this just gave me an idea: I may do more fruit/vegetable hybrids in the future. The coolest part about pixel art is that you get to play god.

This surely would stand out better if there was a more defined outline, or shade of some sort along the edge.

I also agree that it looks more like a peach than a pumpkin.
