I was inspired by Total Annihilation's excellent explosion graphics and decided to make this one using part of the Commander explosion's palette.

The speed is probably the biggest issue here. The animation would work quite well if initial parts were quicker.

The spikes at the start don't really work. You did
a better job on this to get the extention of the cloud.
But you should investigate the forms you had with
the medium sized explosion because there are
rectangular/triangular shapes in the explosion
that shouldn't be there.
Still I like the colors!

I think I see a bit of pillow shading on some parts of the animation.. ah well, good job anyway.
