I don't really know, just seems to be routine.  I also don't think I have enough experience yet with pixel art, to see what colors flow well with other colors.  Thanks for informing me though, next thing I do I'll put more time into choosing colors. 

Is it more of a monitor calibration thing (there's a nice helpful bit on that in the forum if so) or do you choose colors the way you do on purpose? I'm not saying it's bad, but I notice all your art has darkest colors quite some distance from black and towards lighter colors you go yellow. Also a bit more saturation wouldn't kill darker colors either.
