Sprite I did in Ragnarok Online style. Since this is my first sprite here I just wanted to say i'm happy to be here with a lot of really good spriters, and i'm really intrested in techniques like dithering and other ways to conserve colors as I'm just an amatuer spriter shading in things well, normaly. I know I still use too many colors. Any criticism at all would be very helpful, I'd like to learn some new things.
Arms are supposed to be crossed, I'm still new at anatomy XD. I tried to do some cheap dithering on the cape.

the only thing that makes it look like something from RO is its eyes D; how the makers of the ragnarok pixeled theyre sprites is totally different :D but its good anyways i like the sword..
Thanks, though its been about 3-4 years since I started sprited so i'm not that new. Before I only edited some base sprites till recently this year I started doing things from scratch.
Welcome to PJ. Great start! There are some readability issues but what I can see your anatomy isn't that bad. I agree with spartan on the sword. Or you should go even further to really make it the focus of attention to slap some highlights on it. Another suggestion could be giving the sprite some shadow on the floor? All in all I compliment you on your first piece. If this is just the start of your pixeladventures I am sure much greatness can be expected of you
