yeah for a first attempt this is not that bad! a hell of a lot better than the first piece of pixel art I ever did. The colors used are nice and work well together and the shading is okay. My only problem is the lineart. The arms look too stiff and short and the feet are kind of strange. Also the blobs look more like they are spraying out of him instead of just dripping off of him (which I assume was the initial intent). Keep practicing, though.

Yeah I followed a tutorial for the shading and things, I still think I got it quite wrong. I didn't realise until after a friend pointed out but I didn't even give the dude hands or proper feet, he just has blobs which is pretty stupid that I didn't even notice that.

Its really not that bad. It could use a couple things though. Make sections of his body more separated using the lightest shadow (such as right below the knee, arounf the stomach-leg area, the wrists ect. And one hand, and one foot is missing highlights. Take your time on it, and it will be good. One thing about art, is you've got to learn hoe to spend more time on your art. Good artists aren't good just because of their skill, they also spend hours upon hours on their art. Hope that helps.    Oh, and give him a penor.
